Pipe ramming is a trenchless method of pipeline installation that drives a protective casing into the ground using a pneumatic hammer. This casing acts as a sleeve to protect sensitive pipelines and drilling equipment, but installing it via traditional excavation methods is potentially labour intensive, expensive, and could damage the local environment.
